Filip Zikmund has been working in marketing with a focus on social networks and new media since 2012. Since that same year he has been responsible for the development of the official Facebook profile of the city of Prague, which was at the time in need of a clear concept and strategy. As a result, the Prague FB profile has become the main communication channel of the city, which in short-term and long-term interaction defeats (in the number of fans) ten times larger cities such as New York, London, Berlin, Tokyo, Chicago, Glasgow, Madrid, Hamburg, Dallas, Copenhagen, Vienna, Warsaw and Milan.

After that he also developed the Prague communication portfolio adding other social networks – Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, Tumblr. and Snapchat.

He also cooperates with many other organizations from the public and private sector, leading their communication strategy on social networks and managing their crisis communication.

TOPIC: Workshop - The international success of Prague, or how to understand and use social networks?

The workshop will show you how big is the potential of social networks for public institutions. We will explain three main points, without which you cannot do good communication - content, social care and crisis communication. Which social networks should you choose? What are the target groups? How many times a day should you post on facebook? How do you get the right feedback? Should you delete negative comments? Use analytical tools? Pay promotion? What is this interaction and how is it that Prague beats other cities like NYC, London or Berlin? There are many questions and even more answers.

The workshop is intended for all those who want to take a peek into the kitchen of modern communication of a world successful metropolis and try it, including all the positives and pitfalls it offers.
